5 day mouthcare kit

This mouthcare kit provides all the resources to keep the mouth clean moist and comfortable for the person you are caring for.

1 small head medium/soft bristle toothbrush:
•    Brush teeth and gums twice daily

5 white mouth cleansers (daytime) and 5 yellow mouth cleansers (nighttime):

• Can be used multiple times in a 12 hour period
• Use wet or dry
• Remove from the sleeve and rinse in cold water if required
• To remove food and debris, gently sweep around the soft tissues inside the mouth, use a rotation action
• For lubricating the mouth – dip in water, mouth rinse or use water based gel and gently sweep around the mouth
• After each use, clean and rinse thoroughly under running cold water and allow to air dry in stand.   Discard after 12 hours

1 very mild mint low foaming toothpaste:

• Use a smear of toothpaste to gently clean the natural teeth and gums.

1 water based gel specifically designed for people with a dry mouth:

• Use with mouth cleanser to keep the mouth moist.  
• Apply a small pea - sized amount of gel and sweep around the soft tissues inside the mouth

1 gentle tongue scraper:

• Use soft side down and lightly press onto the back of the tongue and move towards the front of the tongue in one swift action. Lift and repeat 
• Do not use a scrubbing action 
• After use, clean and rinse under running cold water and allow to air dry. 

2 mouth hydrators: single use and must be discarded after each episode of care. 

• Fully depress the soft end of Mc6 in a cup of cold water, slowly release and allow the head to fill with water
• Place inside of the cheek, apply light pressure to allow the liquid to enter the mouth.  Can be sucked allowing self-control of water intake.
